The application process for Otakon 2018 will be beginning on Tuesday, December 5th at 7pm EST with our Unlimited Booth section. We will then open our Standard Table applications on Wednesday, December 6th at 7pm EST.

Otakon is proud to announce X Japan, Japan’s biggest rock band, will be part of Otakon in two ways this year! Led by Yoshiki (www.yoshiki.net), composer, classically-trained pianist, and rock drummer, X Japan has sold 30 million singles and albums combined and sold-out the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome a record 18 times. Otakon is very pleased to announce that, in collaboration with Bandi Visual Co., Ltd., we will be hosting a special World Premiere screening of EUREKA SEVEN HI-EVOLUTION! The screening will feature a special discussion with Director Tomoki Kyoda after the showing.

We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with TMS Entertainment USA, Inc, we will have a special screening of Lupin the 3rd: Italian Game as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Lupin. In keeping with the theme of 50, the first fifty attendees to the screening will get a limited edition T-shirt specificaly designed for the 50th anniversary.

Would you like to learn how to wear the Kimono? Register for the Self Dressing Kimono Workshop at Otakon 2017. The workshop is being presented by Kuniko Kanawa, Shinto Priestess, Certified Kimono Consultant, and Otakon Guest.
While all are welcome to attend, participation will be extremely limited due to supply.
