To clarify: Otakon is the largest annual meeting of Otakorp, Inc. All Otakorp members are invited to attend and participate in our annual meeting. When you pay money to attend Otakon (either through this website or at a booth at Otakon), you are actually paying to become a member of Otakorp for this year. We aren't selling you some unwanted extra membership as part of this process. the Otakorp membership is actually what gets you into Otakon.
If you registered online last year, save money by renewing your existing membership rather than create a new one. It'll also save you time, and help us keep our records in good shape. Renewing members receive a $5 discount on the membership fee. If you don't remember your member number and password, you can reset your password at this link. Then, come back here and start the process of renewing your membership.
If you are registering several individuals, or suspect you may be interrupted during the registration process, you should hit the "save my submission" link when it appears. The system will then e-mail you a link that will allow you to continue entering information where you left off. If you run into trouble, especially with renewals, please contact us and we'll help you. We do not offer group rates or group discounts.
When you complete your online registration, check your email for a message titled "Otakon 2017 Registration Confirmation". Be sure to check your junk folder if you can't find it. That email contains a barcode in it, which you can print and bring it to Otakon. The barcode will allow you to pick up your badges faster than ever before (note that you will still need to provide a photo ID - the barcode is not a substitute). You can also access the confirmation message & barcode by logging into the Members Only section of our website for if you happen to lose the email.
If you have a medical condition that may affect your ability to get around the convention, you can let us know about it in advance by selecting the 'Member Accessibility' box on the registration form. When you arrive at the convention center to pick up your badge, go directly to the Member Accessibility booth in the registration lobby to check in and obtain a badge ribbon as well as information on how to get around. For more detailed information please view the complete guide coming soon.
Children 8 and under are admitted free to Otakon when accompanied by a parent/guardian. If you are bringing someone who is 8 or younger, you do not need to fill out the online registration form for them. Simply bring them with you to the registration counter when you arrive at the convention, and free Child badges will be provided. A parent or guardian must accompany any and all children under the age of 12 at all times. Children are required to carry some form of written identification and parent/guardian contact information with them at all times so that Otakon staff may contact the parents or guardians should the need arise.
Please be aware that if you are paying with a debit card, a hold may be placed on your card for the total amount you intend to pay for membership registration. A separate charge will then appear shortly thereafter for the actual payment. The held charge typically disappears after 5-7 business days depending on your bank. Because it is your bank that places the hold on the card, there is nothing we can do to remove it. If you suspect there was a server error that resulted in a double-charge on your card, please wait 14 days before contacting us.
Your browser should be set to allow scripts and cookies in order to successfully register for a 2017 Otakorp membership online. If your security setting is too high, you will not be able to register.
Additionally if you have any questions regarding online registration for Otakon, please check our Interactive Help page, and if your question isn't answered there, using the links on the right you can either post a public question or contact our Online Registration department directly through via an e-mail form. Please use the public question form for general questions about the registration process, while questions regarding individual registrations should be addressed through the e-mail form.
