Otakon is Pleased to Welcome Hirokatsu Kihara to Otakon 2019

Otakon is proud to announce our first guest for 2019, Hirokatsu Kihara.

Formerly involved with the production desk at Studio Ghibli, Hirokatsu Kihara was involved in the hit anime Laputa: Castle in the Sky, My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. Nowadays he writes ghost stories and MCs at monster conventions. His most famous work is Tales of Terror: Haunted Apartment, and has been a crucial contributor to many other hits in this genre.

We are pleased to welcome Kihara-san back as the comminity celebrates the 30th anniversary of Kiki's Delivery Service. Previously, he was a guest at Otakon 2018 and spoke at the Library of Congress last summer.
