Otakon 2012 Gofer Orientation

Attendance of Gofer orientation is mandatory for all gofers.

Where should I go for Gofer Orientation?

You will be meeting at the entrance of the BCC on Pratt St. by the corner with S. Charles Street. This is the section of the BCC that is surrounded by glass walls. There is a series of fountains that many people use to take pictures around for cosplay. This is the street level entrance along Pratt St., not the the entrance off the sky-walk, or the one on S. Charles Street.

Which Gofer orientation should I attend?

There will be several Gofer orientations on Thursday July 26th and Friday July 27th 2012.

If you are pre-registered for Otakon, pre-registered to be a Gofer and scheduled to work Thursday evening in pre-registration or at the Matsuri, you must attend the 12:00 noon Gofer orientation on July 26th. The line up starts at 10:00 am.

If you are pre-registered for Otakon, pre-registered to be a Gofer but are not planning on working until Friday morning you can attend the Gofer Orientation Thursday July 26th evening at 7:00 pm. Make sure you plan on being in line at the Charles Street Lobby doors by 6:00 pm.

If you do not fit either of the above categories you should attend the Gofer Orientation Friday morning the 27th at 9:00 am. Make sure you plan on being in line by 8:00 am.

Any additional Friday Gofer Orientations will be announced closer to the con.

Remember Otakon is being held in July! Bring water with you in case it’s a scorcher.
