With a world-class fashion designer coming, you just know we had to have a proper fashion show at Otakon. And you can't have a fashion show without models. To show off his designs, h.Naoto will select several Otakon members to be models.
This is no random drawing, however. You've got to apply for the job.
If you're selected, you'll be featured in the fashion show, meet the designer, and receive a t-shirt designed by h.Naoto. The show will be held Saturday morning, so you'll need to be able to check in on Thursday or Friday and report for an early rehearsal on Saturday. (You will also have to commit about 4-5 hours on Saturday morning to the rehearsal and show.)
CONTEST RULES
- You'll need to fill out an entry form with your basic personal information.
- You'll need to provide two color photographs. It is VERY important that you read and follow ALL the instructions for these photos -- failure to do so will disqualify you.
- You may submit only one application per person, and you must submit it by 11 May 2010.
- This contest is open to any female member who is at least 18 years old by July 30, 2010. There are no height or size restrictions to enter.
- At least 10 semi-finalists will be selected from all submitted entries. Entries from non-members will be disqualified. Semi-finalists will be judged by h.Naoto's team based on information provided in your application, including the photographs you provide, your personal statistics, and model potential. Decisions made by h.Naoto's team and Otakon staff are final.
- All applicants grant Otakorp, Inc. and h.Naoto the right to use your name, image, and likeness for publicity purposes, without additional competition and without prior notice.
All submissions must be received by May 11, 2010.
Send the following information, along with attached photos, to FashionShow2010 (at) Otakon (dot) org.
APPLICATION
- Provide your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- Provide your Otakon registration ID number. (Remember, you must already be pre-registered for Otakon 2010!)
- Provide your date of birth, height, clothing and shoe sizes, and measurements (bust, waist, hips).
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
- You must submit TWO vertical (taller than they are wide), color photos: one headshot and one full-length photo. Don't submit more than two shots.
- Please save the images in JPG format, at high quality and good resolution. Try to keep total file size under 3 MB.
- You don't need to pay for professional shots -- just make sure that they're not blurry and that there's enough light to see you properly.
- Make sure the photos look like you. Don't doctor the shots.
- Do NOT submit nude, suggestive, or otherwise inappropriate photographs.
- You should be the only person in the shots, and they should be shot against a solid background.
- Wear little or no makeup, and no jewelry, piercings, or accessories.
- Wear your hair back and away from your face and shoulders.
- Wear a simple, neutral color t-shirt; avoid any bold colors or distracting garments.
