Otakon has long been a pioneer in musical guests, and this year is no exception. Never content to rest on past achievements and easy options, we’ve continued to push the envelope with the broadest and most diverse selection of musical acts on the convention circuit. Our mission with concerts is to broaden your horizons!

This year’s official musical guests will all be performing in the BCC, in Hall D. The venue seats about 2,600 people — roughly twice the capacity of most large indoor clubs and performance spaces. Entrance is from the 200 level of the BCC. Time permitting, the performers will be selling and signing their merchandise immediately following the show.

This year’s official concerts are:

• Friday (Evening): TBA
• Saturday (Afternoon): Kanon Wakeshima
• Sunday (Afternoon): Becca and Naomi Tamura

In addition, the group VAMPS will perform a special show at Baltimore’s SONAR on Thursday, prior to Otakon. This is a separate ticketed event.

Though the show is not part of official convention programming, they were kind enough to schedule their show with us in mind, and we are working with them to cross promote it.
